Dr. Heisler completed his fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center where he had the opportunity to work side by side with highly specialized doctors that used techniques to help restore speech using maxillofacial prosthetics and obturators. Maxillofacial prosthetics and obturators replace those areas of congenital disabilities and cancers of the oral region. This is when Dr. Heisler’s specialty and expertise comes in, where he help's restore the patients oral functions such as swallowing, speech, and mastication in instances where those functions are compromised.
